Sasha Valour lived at the vet clinic for almost 2 years before she came to live at Ocean Acres in Nov 2023. The vets convinced the owner to surrender rather than euthanize. Her previous owner liked his other dog more and simply didn’t want her. She is good with kids, probably best if they are 8 years old and above, just because she’s quite lively and might knock little ones over. NO CATS!! She has been fine with other dogs that are close to her size. We have not tried small dogs because of how she is with cats. This girl loves attention, treats and belly rubs. She is happy and smiley, pleased to meet everyone and walks very well on a leash. She is healthy and medically very well checked out – while at the vets she had numerous blood tests, as she has saved many dogs lives by being a blood donor. She has been an ultrasound training dog and has a clear abdominal ultrasound and echocardiogram. She is fully vaccinated and microchipped. Sasha was fostered for sometime and lived inside, in a house, she is toilet trained and a perfect companion. Sadly her foster mum had to leave the island and Sasha ended up back with us again. She’s a happy girl, doesn’t complain and enjoys spending time with her best friend Freddy.
