More About Miss Buttercup

Buttercup is one of 3 pups that were surrendered to us when they were about 5-6 weeks old (her sisters are Bo and Bubbles).

Buttercup is a very sensitive little soul.  She can be a bit anxious when meeting new people.  She lives with other dogs and gets along fine, but staff noticed early on that she was being picked on for some reason by her siblings, and we have no idea why.  Upon seeing this, we pulled her out of the pen with her siblings and put her in with other dogs and she’s doing well now, although the experience seems to have made her a little shy, she takes a little while to warm up.

She is energetic and playful with other dogs, but she would probably be best in a calmer home, maybe without excitable young children, at least until she progressed – which we believe she would given a little help.  Given the bullying she experienced when she was younger we would recommend introducing her to other dogs slowly, and this is purely because we don’t know what was causing her to be bullied in the first place.

Buttercup is approximately 30 lbs.
