Barbie

Barbie was surrendered at the end of July 2023, along with her friend Ken.  They came from a home where they were neglected; they were underweight and covered in ticks.

Both of these dogs have the sweetest nature.  Despite being whisked away from their familiar surroundings, bundled into a car and driven to Ocean Acres, they coped very well with the 3 hour tick removing session! Surrounded by interfering and curious cats, they were bathed and combed and we did our best to make them more comfortable.  Then they met a bunch of new dogs!  They took it all in their stride, albeit momentarily apprehensive at times.  After just a nights sleep they were behaving as if they belonged.

We are delighted that Barbie now lives in Canada!
