More About Windsor

We are so thrilled that we are finally able to write a bio for Mr. Windsor. For those of you that follow us on socials, you may recall seeing this poor boy’s face shortly after he was rescued – he was skeletal, many could not believe he was still alive. We were very scared for him. His survival is entirely thanks to the big heart of one of our supporters, Allison Cox, who has single handedly nursed him back to life. Now, he is a happy, healthy and handsome boy. He’s about 2 years old, and he has got such a beautiful soul and personality. He is so affectionate, a sucky cuddle bug, truly one of a kind. Excited to go for walks and experience what it feels like to just be a dog, without fear, without hunger. He’s non reactive towards other dogs, even when they are barking and excited around him. He has been introduced and spent some play time with another large female dog and they get on well. We all laugh because he has the MOST comical expressions on his face sometimes, its hilarious. He can be a climber when he wants to be, so his ideal home would be one where he can live indoors and have a couch or a bed to lounge around on. Having had to fend for himself on his own and nearly starving to death as he did, he still has some prey drive habits, so for now would not trust him with sheep or small animals or birds.

We are so happy he has survived his near death experience – now this beautiful sweet boy deserves some fun and love and comfort. He is ready for a forever home – if you’d like a Windsor hug on demand, come see us and spend some time with him – he will snuggle his way into your heart.
