It was Independence Day when we got the call – Reggie’s owner no longer wanted him. If we didn’t go get him, he would be dumped. We were full, with no room for another but how could we let he and his partner, April, be dumped? We couldn’t.
Reggie is such a character. If you approach, he drops on his side, rolls onto his back and raises his paws for belly rubs. If you ignore him, he gets up, runs in front of you and tries again. He gets on great with every dog he has been introduced to. He’s not a barker. He sits on command and has no food aggression. We don’t understand how he and April were so hastily gotten rid of. He’s a small dog who loves to run and play. He does well on a leash and enjoys his little adventures when he goes for walks.
We aren’t sure if he is housetrained or not, but he seems the type that would catch on quickly.
